Both Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel are excellent fragrances and are different enough to own both (I do!). If you want a bold and confident fragrance, Sauvage is the better choice. If you want a more fresh and versatile fragrance, Bleu de Chanel is the better choice. Both Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel are year-round winners, with Sauvage having a slight edge in warmer weather due to its fresh and spicy notes, while Bleu de Chanel’s versatility shines during the cooler months. Sauvage was Dior's answer to BDC and is in essence a concentrated version of the core notes in BDC. The opening of BDC is a sharp, nose prickling mix of pepper and citrus that sort of smells like a classy fish marinade.Bleu de Chanel has Lemon, pink pepper, mint, and grapefruit as its opening notes. The citrus notes dominate here, with a touch of freshness from mint. On the other hand, Dior Sauvage has one of the best fragrance openings in the world, courtesy of a fresh bergamot note and warm spicy pepper note.
